Councillor Nicky Chopak
Poundstock
I have been a Cornwall Councillor for 10 years and in between running my own business and bringing up 6 children, I have the great privilege of making sure the rural division I represent can access good health provision, better transport links, improved access to affordable housing and the residents have a voice being heard in Truro.
I continue to be an active member of the Health & Adult Scrutiny Committee, with constant pressures on A&E and the inability to get a GP appointment an ongoing frustration. Serving as a member of the Police Crime Panel ensures that the issues residents in North Cornwall face are also being heard by those responsible for keeping us all safe.
Please contact me should you need my help.

Councillor Dominic Fairman
St Teath & Tintagel
I am an organic farmer on a family farm on Bodmin Moor and have been a Cornwall Councillor since 2016. I currently represent the parishes of Tintagel, Delabole, St Teath, Michaelstow, St Tudy and St Breward. I came into politics to promote the environmental agenda and to give rural parishes a voice in Cornwall.
At New County Hall I sit on the Neighbourhoods Committee, which alongside the environment and climate change, scrutinises and supports the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service and the councils Community Safety Team. This includes interesting work around tackling drug and alcohol problems, food hygiene and air quality.
I am currently campaigning locally on the poor water quality in the Rivers Camel and Allen.

Councillor Leigh Frost
Bodmin St Petroc
I was born and raised in Bodmin, living here my entire life. After leaving school I started work with my father at Celtic Produce, a local fresh vegetable supplier and farm shop, which we have grown into a successful business serving the local area.
I first got involved in politics in 2016 after becoming disillusioned with the direction our country was travelling in. I felt if I wanted to see positive change I had to be involved and no longer sit on the sidelines.
At Cornwall Council I am the Lib Dem spokesperson for the Economy and sit on the economic growth scrutiny committee which look at the economy, housing, and transport directorates.
I primarily campaign on supporting our local business and town centres due to my expertise in that field.

Councillor Adrian Parsons
Altarnun & Stoke Climsland
Having lived, been educated and worked within the Division for most of my life, it was an absolute honour to be elected to represent the community of Altarnun and Stoke Climsland. We currently face a period of great change and political uncertainty, which is why now more than ever we need a strong voice at County Hall to ensure the challenges we face are understood and it’s vital we fight to maintain a level of service which all our residents deserve.
Having rural issues at heart I fully understand the problems that so many now face with finding a home in the area they have grown up in, which is why solutions to mitigate this are one of my priorities.
As well as this, education, transport and care in the rural community are all areas I’m committed to. Every person should have a fair opportunity in life no matter where they live, we don’t want to see anyone being forgotten or left behind within the Duchy.

Councillor Pat Rogerson
Bodmin St Mary's and St Leonard
I feel privileged to have been elected 4 times to serve my Bodmin residents.
My division contains areas of deprivation which are within some of the highest levels in Britain. Consequently, the poor state of our social housing, after repeated cuts, is a massive part of my casework load.
I sit on the Children and Families Overview & Scrutiny Committee and was chair for 6 years. Our Children's Services are graded Outstanding by Ofsted but we have been grossly underfunded by successive Tory governments. This is against a backdrop of increasing need. Referrals to our Early Help Hub are now in the thousands. With the cost of living crisis, this can only get worse.
Children in the duchy also get far less money for their education than children elsewhere - especially for Special Needs.
I am committed to listening to residents but this present cabinet has destroyed genuine Localism by recently getting rid of Community Networks. These allowed those voices to be formally heard. However, I continue, as always, to be contactable by phone and email.
